A Little About Me!

I'm Nicholas, a proud graduate of the State Center Community College District (SCCCD) and the University of California, Riverside (UCR), where I earned (4) Associate of Science degrees and (1) Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering.

While my academic background is diverse, I focused on Embedded Systems during my time at UCR, especially for my senior design project. I found the field fascinating because of the close interaction between hardware and software. I enjoy seeing physical components and code work together to build something functional.

Outside of the workplace, another place I do get to use my engineering skills is in my personal projects. I've been working on a number of them to keep learning and experimenting with new tools and technologies. These projects let me apply what I learned in school and explore areas that interest me — including this website, which is one of those projects!

I enjoy the challenge of learning something new and applying it to real-world problems. Personal projects are one of my favorite ways to keep growing. You can check out some of them in the Portfolio section of this site.
